We are witnessing a massive increase in the kind of technology that people are using these days.

1.) Self-Driving Trucks:
The growth of artificial intelligence and GPS technology has started to move in new directions.
Much of this has been in an experimental stage but it is increasingly becoming of a commonplace.
The technology is currently being considered and even implemented across different parts of the world where they will soon be able to have trucks drive themselves without the need for a human to take care of it.
GPS technology would be sufficient to have the trucks go from the place of origin to the destination. The actual navigation, on the other hand, would be something that would be handled by the artificial intelligence onboard the vehicle.
2.) Self-Driving Cars:
Just as in the case of self-driving trucks, the concept is also being currently implemented for cars as well.
Google has been very busy working on the concept of self-driving cars and is even testing the concept in urban areas.
The cars would essentially remove the need for a human driver to navigate the vehicle. Instead of that, the car would be driven around with the help of an onboard artificial intelligence system; with the navigation issues taken care of by GPS-based tracking systems.
3.) Facial Recognition Technology:
Facial recognition technology is something that has been around for a very long time.
It is only recently that these trends have started to be perfected and implemented on a larger scale, particularly for the purpose of security where one’s identity would be strictly connected to who they are as opposed to whether they have the right key or anything else.
4.) Hot Solar Cells:
Solar cells have been yet another concept that has been around for a very long time.
These cells work on the principle of converting the sun’s rays into electricity, with the help of photovoltaic technology.
While all of this has been around for a while, the biggest problem of solar cells has been the efficiency which they will be able to efficiently convert the sun’s rays into usable electricity.
It has slowly started to experience a great deal of improvement with the advent of ‘hot’ solar cells. The concept involves a workaround in the way the sun is utilized and harvested for the creation of electricity. In traditional solar panels, the sun’s rays are allowed to fall on the cells where the energy is directly converted into electricity. In ‘hot’ solar cells on the other hand; the electricity that is produced happens to go through a process where the sun’s rays are first converted into heat and then back into the light, for the purpose of electricity generation.
5.) Wireless Charging:
The charging of handheld devices has always had one single problem, which was that they all depended on chargers with wires.
Much of this would be quite problematic in terms of convenience since the wires would often get tangled up and turn into a downright unmanageable mess.
This particular issue is something that one could expect to have solved not too far away from now. There is an increased amount of effort to develop wireless charging technology, where people don’t have to deal with the problem of messy wires.
Today, there are already a lot of devices that come with wireless charging, which is something that can be expected to grow in the near future.
6.) The Hyperloop:
Elon Musk, the founder of Tesla and SpaceX has also been focusing on a new kind of technology, which is essentially a vacuum-based train.
A one-way trip between Delhi and Mumbai on the Hyperloop is projected to take about 1 hour and 14 minutes to be precise, while a car takes roughly 23 hours
The concept revolves around the idea of having a train that can go especially fast in a vacuum tube, due to a lack of air resistance that would otherwise become a roadblock for achieving exceptionally high speeds.
7.) Quantum Computers:
Quantum computers have for the most part of history been a theoretical concept with very little in terms of practical application.
All of that is likely to change with the rise of real world computers based on quantum technology.
Thanks to the advancement made by companies regarding nanotechnology, processors, superconductors and more, the building blocks are all in place for enabling the rise of the world’s very first true quantum computer not too long from now.
8.) Vein-Based Biometrics:
Palm-based biometrics has been around for quite a while.
The way that this worked was based on the concept of how individual patterns on one’s palm were arranged, all of which are unique to everybody.
This technology has started to take a whole new form, where the patterns will no longer be based on the palm but rather the patterns of the veins underneath the palm’s skin.
9.) Air-Based Water Generator:
Water scarcity has always been a big problem for a lot of people in the world.
All that could change with the advancement of condensation technology that would allow for the conversion of the water vapor present in the air into usable water.
10.) 3D Printed Cars:
3D printed technology has been around for a very long time.
However, this has been limited for the most part for small objects and nothing more.
All that is something that could change with the rise of 3D printed cars, where people could essentially make their own car at home, with the right 3D printing technology.
